International Knowledge Network of Women in Politics (iKNOW Politics)

Greetings from the International Knowledge Network of Women in Politics (iKNOW Politics)!  The premier virtual network linking women in politics throughout the worldiKNOW Politicsis excited to welcome you as a member and a contributor to its online forum:

Launched at the United Nations in February, iKNOW Politics is a ground-breaking initiative that was founded in partnership by the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (International IDEA), the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs (NDI), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the United Nations Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM).

In just the first 24 hours following the launch of iKNOW Politics, over 100 participants registered as new members.  Since that day, the Web site has received over 100,000 hits.

iKNOW Politics is specifically designed to increase the participation and effectiveness of women in political life.  This innovative global platform connects parliamentarians, representatives, candidates, political party leaders and members, researchers, academia and practitioners across borders, generations and faiths, equipping them with the materials, expertise and best practices to make their political mark.
