Sister Person Life: An Artistic Transition!

UNIFEM Singapore is proud to announce the official launch of SPLAT! Exhibition!

MS PENNY LOW, Chairman of the Government Parliamentary Committee for Information,Communications, and the Arts & Member of Parliament for Pasir Ris - Punggol GRC will launch the exhibition on 07 Jul 2007 (Sat) at The Arts House (Old Parliament House) at 3.30 pm.

A Sharing Session about the concerns and challenges of women in Singapore and the South East Asian region will be held at the Earshot Cafe. Representatives from AIDHA and UNIFEM Singapore will engage the audience, comprising principals, teachers and youths, in a discussion about these issues.To show her support towards addressing the concerns and challenges of women in Singapore and the South East Asian region, Ms Low will also autograph 05 Winning entries that will be auctioned as part of the fundraising efforts.

EXHIBITION
The 25 Exhibiting entries, accompanied by short write-ups from the submitting artists, will be displayed from 07 Jul 2007 (Sat) till 14 Jul 2007 (Sat) at The Arts House (Old Parliament House). Volunteers will address concerns and queries which the public may have, and distribute souvenirs publicising SPLAT!  and its beneficiaries.

AUCTION
The 25 Exhibiting entries will be auctioned on 28 Jul 2007 (Sat) at Starbucks Coffee Ogilvy Centre at 4.00 pm. Proceeds from the auction will fund courses conducted by AIDHA and UNIFEM Singapore for female domestic workers and women in shelters.
