16 to 18 August 2007 | Asian Civilisations Museum
In partnership with UNIFEM Singapore, the Asian Civilisations Museum organised a series of activities under the theme 'Traffics and Travails - Documenting ASEAN'S moves'. Documentaries such as B.A.T.A.M and Trading Women were screened to highlight the plight of Asian 'working women and children' who have been tricked or coerced into a life of prositution. UNIFEM Singapore President Saleemah Ismail was present to share her insights and knowledge on the issue. For more information on the event, click here June to July 2007
UNIFEM Singapore would like to thank Augustine Chan and his dedicated team of student and teacher volunteers in successfully organising the recently concluded fundraising art event. As part of the competition, students from various schools were invited to submit art entries under the theme of SPLAT! which stands for Sister, Person, Life, an Artistic Transition. Subsequently, the winning art pieces were auctioned and funds raised were shared between UNIFEM Singapore and AIDHA. June to August 2007 | All Charles and Keith Outlets
