Guest Speaker: Ms. Saleemah Ismail
Join us at The Picturehouse Lounge for an open dialogue session lead by the President of UNIFEM Singapore Ms. Saleemah Ismail. The Picturehouse Explores the poignant and critically acclaimed film YOUR NAME IS JUSTINE with regards to the illegal trafficking of women and children within the global trade network. Human trafficking is rooted in discrimination, stereotyping and marginalization of certain individuals in society. Various internationally run organizations are within the web of this illegal trade which ‘justifies’ this exploitative behavior and generates a demand for trafficked persons, especially women and children.
