Championing the awareness and the prevention of HIV/AIDS, Fashion Shares is a tee-shirt exhibition displaying the unique and one-of-a-kind designs culled from a host of 50-odd designers, personalities and celebrities. UNIFEM Singapore was invited to design a T-shirt that was exhibited at the event. More than ever, HIV among women and girls is becoming an issue of concern, partly because many of those infected did not imagine themselves to be at risk (as in the case of infection by their husbands) or even for those who did, felt powerless to protect themselves from the virus (as in the case of sexual assault).
