With Special Guest Speaker Ms Chua Sock Koong Group CEO, Singapore Telecommunications Limited (SingTel)

Ballroom Two | The Fullerton Hotel | 12-2pm | Monday 10 March 2008

Following the success of the inaugural Women Mean Business luncheon to celebrate International Women's Day (IWD) 2007, the Australian High Commission and National Committee for Unifem are again joining forces to host Singapore’s premier IWD event.

This year we are delighted and honoured to have Ms Chua Sock Koong, Group Chief Executive Officer of SingTel as our Special Guest Speaker. A Certified Public Accountant and Chartered Financial Analyst, Ms Chua is an Executive Director of SingTel and a Board Member of Bharti Airtel Limited and JTC Corporation. She is also a member of the Singapore Government’s Council on Corporate Disclosure and  Governance. Ms Chua has had a distinguished career at SingTel and has spearheaded many of its achievements in local and international markets. SingTel is Asia’s largest telco company with operations in 20 countries worldwide, including Australia, India, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines and Bangladesh; and is the largest Singaporean investor in Australia, through its stakeholding in Optus telecommunications.

Women Mean Business is an Australia-Singapore initiative aimed at commemorating IWD2008 by providing a forum for business people to unite, network and learn from one another. All funds raised from this initiative will be donated to a women's shelter in Batam; assisting Unifem’s efforts to support women and children affected by domestic violence in Indonesia and across our region.
